I hosted a Stella and Dot Trunk Show, here's what happened.

If you have never heard of Stella and Dot*, allow me change your jewellery game for life.  This company was the brain child of Jessica Herrin, who wanted to offer women a alternative, flexible and fun career. Jewellery is sold directly to customers through in-home Trunk Shows by independent stylists. As there is no physical store, this overhead is invested into making quality products and keeps them affordable. The thing that sets this jewellery apart from anything you will find on the high street is the versatility; many of the pieces can be worn multiple ways which I love.

I was introduced to Stella and Dot through a colleague at work who was becoming a stylist. Seeing her wear the jewellery every day gave me serious bling envy, so when she said that if I held a trunk show I could get up to 40% discount plus product credit, I was in.

So what did I have to do?

To be honest, not much. I sent my stylist a list of peoples e-mails who I thought might like to come to the Trunk Show and created a Facebook event. I invited people who I knew would not be able to make it also because of the handy link that is open for three weeks after the event, they could still shop my event.

The night of the event I put out a few buns and other refreshments, but the real treats on offer were the amazing pieces the stylist had brought with her. The stylist arrived about a half hour before the guests and set up, I couldn't wait to start trying the different pieces on.

What happens at a Stella and Dot Party?

Once everyone had arrived, we got a bit of background of the company and the stylists reasons for joining, then, we got stuck in to everything on the table. There was every kind of accessory you could think of necklaces, handbags, scarfs, bracelets and earrings. The thing about having a party is, you can see the detail of the products and feel the weight of the pieces, it really makes such a difference. You see little details that you can't see on the page, you fall in love. The stylist also demonstrated the versatility of a Stella and Dot scarf, this has to be seen to be believed, she even made it into a dress, I had no idea there were so many ways to wear one.

Then guests chose the items that they loved, after much deliberation and the stylist processed the payments on her iPad.

It was really that easy.

The best part for me was having an excuse to get my friends over for a good catch up so we could chat, eat and shop, just a few of my favourite things to do.

Now all that is left to do is Treat Yo' Self www.stelladot.co.uk/ts/r9rmn1 *.
