So I thought I would try something new and give a little overview of what I have been loving this month.
I have been wearing these Nike Free 5.0 all month and they are great for walking and training. They don't have enough support for a running shoe but they induce serious shoe envy whenever I wear them. I love a bold sneaker, it is just extra incentive to put them on and get moving.
Hair- Living Proof Prime Style Extender
I was unconvinced that this product would work, I have heard of primer for make-up but for your hair? I decided to give it a go because it claimed increase the time between washes, prolong style and repel dirt and grease. What is not to like about that? This was everything I didn't know I needed for my hair and boy does it deliver. I can now go up to three days without washing (depending on how active I have been or how gross I feel). I did buy this myself and I think it will be part of my hair routine in future.
Beauty- Pixi by Petra Glow Tonic
I recently bought the Caroline Hirons Cult Beauty box, I will do a full review soon, but one of the products has quickly become my holy grail skin care product. That product is the Pixi by Petra Glow Tonic, an exfoliating toner. It is a cult favourite and now I know why. I am usually not one to get caught up in the hype of a product or use a toner but this has made a massive difference to my skin. So much so, that when I forgot to bring it with me over this past weekend I was devastated. It is definitely giving me that glow.
Books- Tell All, Chuck Palahniuk
This book was on my summer reading list, which admittedly, is fast becoming my Autumn reading list. I have read three out of five of the books. Oops. Well, Tell All did take me a few tries to get into as the style of writing took me a while to get used to, but trust me when I say; it is worth sticking with. This is an intelligent take on old Hollywood stars and the people who kept those stars shinning. I liked this story so much I might re-read it. It is quite a short book and once I got into it I couldn't put it down. It is a fabulous peek behind the stage safety curtain and I would give it five quills (on my imaginary book rating scale).
Television- True Blood
I am just getting into this series now and I am loving it. All seven seasons have been made available through Sky/Now TV and I cannot stop watching. If you are late to the vampire lost nest like I am, it centres around the relationship Sookie Stackhouse, a Louisianan Waitress has with Bill Compton, a two hundred year old vampire. It brings the drama, the feels and occasionally the laughs.
Let me know what you are loving this month and also what you are reading as I love getting new books and then not reading them for months.
