I have recently been re-reading (or more accurately listening to) the entire series of Harry Potter books, tip of the hat to Stephen Fry. I have noticed that there are a few magical objects from the books that I wish we Muggles had in the real world.
A powder that connects every fireplace in the UK, so I don't have to go outside my own house to travel? Er, yes please. I could visit everyone I know in an afternoon, if I were so inclined. Although I suppose it would get annoying people dropping into your living room, any given Sunday. Honourable mentions to the portkey and broom (I am not entirely skilled on two feet, so raise me 50 feet from the ground and I might need a trip to St. Mungo's).
Although I would like to get rid of some embarrassing memories that remind me of just how silly I am, there is another reason I want this bowl of memories. You've guessed it, I want to have a look at other peoples memories. Ah I would've have loved to have a wee look around Dumbledore's memories.
I am as forgetful as Neville Longbottom, I would find this little ball very useful. However I think that it would be cloudy so often that I would forget what I had forgotten. If only it would shout at you like a howler.
Now this would have made being a teenager so much more handy and if I had one of these cloaks I may have put more thought into a career in espionage. The only thing I would use the cloak for these days is going to the shop in my pyjamas and last nights make-up whilst dying of a hangover. Honourable mention to a Marauder's Map of my house or workplace (always handy to know where the head honchos are lurking).
What are your must-haves from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?
